When Folksam faced the need to future-proof its IT capabilities, it was about more than just implementing new technology – it required people who could drive real change. In collaboration with Nexer Tech Talent, Folksam took a strategic approach to talent acquisition and launched an ambitious talent program that has been carried out in six editions since its inception in 2018. More than 90 newly graduated IT talents have taken their first career steps within the company, many of whom now hold key roles in Folksam’s ongoing digital journey.
Stepping into working life for the first time can feel overwhelming. For Fred, however, the start as a tech talent became a secure journey filled with community, learning, and new opportunities. Through his first assignment as a fullstack developer at SBAB, he was able to explore both backend and frontend while laying the foundation for a career with a clear direction forward.
FMV had long faced challenges in attracting and recruiting specialists in IT security – a field with fierce competition for top talent. Through an initial targeted talent program in collaboration with Nexer Tech Talent, the agency strengthened its organization with newly graduated engineers and computer scientists.
Since the launch of the program in 2021, approximately 35 talents have been recruited to FMV through the partnership, and the talent programs have become a permanent and effective part of the agency’s long-term strategy for securing critical competencies.
Going from a thesis project to a published patent is no small achievement. For Guna and Akshay, the journey became proof of how curiosity and drive can lead to true innovation. Through their work with Volvo GTT, they developed a method that can contribute to the future of vehicle development while laying the foundation for a career full of opportunities.
In order to succeed in the transformation to fossil-free solutions and to manage an ongoing skills shift, Volvo Group Trucks Technology initiated a partnership with Nexer Tech Talent in 2019. Since then, six talent programs have been launched and the company has received an injection of up to 150 new tech talents, who are now employed by the company.
When Jennifer finished her studies in industrial economics with a focus on data at KTH, she decided she wanted to work with programming. When she was introduced to the possibility of joining a talent program through Nexer Tech Talent after graduation, she was very impressed. Getting a career start with a lot of support and understanding that you don’t know everything yet, made her accept. Today she is six months into the talent program at Länsförsäkringar and feels that the network, support and continuous training she has received has given her a secure, and very fun, start to her working life.
Nirawan Helenelund knew exactly what she wanted to do after graduation. Through LinkedIn, she was tipped off to apply for just such a role: front-end developer at Länsförsäkringar through Nexer Tech Talent’s talent program. She felt it was the perfect way to learn more about the role, the organisation and get a holistic perspective at the start of her career.
