Global passenger information systems manufacturer, Hanover Displays, have entered into a strategic partnership with Nexer and Microsoft to support future growth and standardisation of global operations, modernising its business applications landscape using Microsoft Dynamics 365 technology.
Moving from legacy Microsoft technology, Hanover Displays modernises its back-end ERP solutions, including Finance, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Manufacturing globally. This project will also see new production and sales sites adopting a standard approach and set of applications. The change will support Hanover Displays in further streamlining and optimising business operations. A core solution will be created, followed by deployment phases of its production and sales sites. Nexer Enterprise Applications are selected as the implementation partner.
Hanover Displays continues to invest in Microsoft Dynamics 365 since Microsoft offers advanced technical solutions at low risk. Working with Microsoft was a quick decision given Hanover Displays’ history of running its business applications on Microsoft technology.
“Our aspirations of optimising our business operations to support our growth strategy of global sales meant deciding to move our current Microsoft ERP system to a cloud-based platform, D365, viable. It was clearly recognised that the D365 platform allows customisation to align more accurately with our business processes and strategy”, says Ben Richardson, Systems Manager Hanover Displays.
Ben Richardson continues:
“Microsoft provides an affordable, flexible, and feature-rich platform that provides the technology needed to support our business operations now and in the future”
Nexer Enterprise Applications was selected from a long list of potential partners based on the collaboration between the teams, experience demonstrated in similar implementations in the manufacturing industry, and the ability to support global implementations. The project has started strongly and is on track to deliver according to plan and objectives.
“We are excited to be supporting Hanover Displays in this global technology project and appreciate the trust placed in us as a partner leading them on this journey. We are fully committed and look forward to continuing advising how technology can further help the business thrive”, says Martin Burden, Commercial Director, Nexer Enterprise Applications.
Hanover Displays ensured that the partner understood the company’s immediate needs for change and their longer-term strategy when selecting a partner. According to Ben Richardson, Nexer also demonstrated knowledge in the manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of successful project deliveries in this area. Nexer also offered flexibility and adjusted working hours to work cross time zones, adapting to the working hours in the two manufacturing sites to ensure a smooth transition of change.
