Nexer supported Bubbleroom’s integration to Zalando, Europe’s largest online fashion marketplace. We quickly and reliably planned and led the integration, operationally and technically. The outcome? A flexible solution, perfect for expanding to and evaluating new markets.
Bubbleroom is a Swedish online fashion retailer, featuring both international brands and their own design labels. The company looked to expand their business into Europe, identifying Zalando, Europe’s leading online fashion marketplace, as the ideal platform for testing the waters in new markets. Nexer was asked to help integrate the Bubbleroom product range into Zalando’s platform.
Our experienced team headed the integration, including prestudy, daily project management, and support to Bubbleroom’s tech team. In a relatively complex system landscape, we identified the parties and integrations needed to successfully establish Bubbleroom on Zalando. To ensure a seamless transition, we leveraged our in-depth business expertise and evaluated the demands on Bubbleroom’s technology and processes, then connected and synchronized their systems with Zalando’s platform.
Project model: Develop and introduce a flexible project model and way of working for the project.
Prestudy: Investigate the conditions for selling products on the Zalando platform. Mapping Bubbleroom’s ERP System against Zalando’s requirements.
Integration: Connect via integration provider ChannelAdvisor, a platform where you also control what products to display on e-commerce marketplaces, as well as on which markets and choice of logistics.
PIM-connection: Extensive work mapping Bubbleroom’s Product Information Management system (PIM) against Zalando’s requirements. Then connecting it to ChannelAdvisor’s platform.
Logistics & distribution: Establish a logistics solution for deliveries to the different markets.
Together with Bubbleroom’s project organisation Nexer mapped, solved and launched the eight-month project. We provided knowledge, structure and organisation, leading to a smooth integration process and a smart, expandable solution. Bubbleroom quickly launched the first markets on the Zalando marketplace, then step-by-step added more countries. In just a few years, the fashion company has now expanded to 12 European markets and counting, increasing turnover along the way.
