TALENT PROGRAM AT FMV

Are you looking for a dynamic start to your career where you can contribute to both national and international security? The FMV Tech Program offers a unique opportunity to develop the future of defense, with a focus on information security. Through this program, you can make a real difference and be part of shaping a safer future by delivering what our defense needs.

TECH FOR A SAFER SWEDEN

Following two successful talent programs, we are now recruiting for the third FMV Tech Program, starting in September 2024.

In the program, you will become part of a team of ambitious talents where you will have the opportunity to work in a developmental role focused on information security. As a participant, you will be assigned to a business area within the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), where you will gain practical experience and undergo comprehensive training in information security. The training is developed by experts in the field to provide you with foundational expertise in information security. Throughout the program, you will be supported by a dedicated mentor and have opportunities to undertake educational visits across the country to enhance your knowledge.

The program has seven positions available, and you can apply to the business areas of Army, Testing and Evaluation, and Command Systems in Stockholm, as well as to the Marine division in Malmö.

WORKING WITH IT SECURITY AT FMV

FMV is a leading entity whose mission is to provide security both within Sweden and on a global scale. The deteriorating global security situation has led to a historic increase in investment in the Swedish defense, placing higher demands on FMV. The agency oversees approximately 700 development projects, with orders from the Swedish Armed Forces encompassing a wide range from new submarines, air defense systems, radar stations, and armored all-terrain vehicles to enhancements of the Gripen fighter jet, as well as basic supplies like laced boots and pillows.

At FMV, you will occupy a central role in this crucial mission, offering you the chance to work on versatile projects in an organization that prioritizes mutual trust and a sustainable working environment conducive to your well-being and growth. As a participant in the FMV Tech Program, you will be integrated directly into the operations, become part of a network, and gain significant insight into various business areas.

INVESTMENT FOR GROWTH

IT security had been a significant skills gap for FMV until 2021 when they partnered with Nexer Tech Talent to initiate the first talent program as a vital part of the solution. By recruiting junior engineers and offering specialized training tailored to FMV’s unique requirements, the organization not only enhanced its expertise but also rejuvenated its workforce.

Following the completion of the programs, all participants were offered positions at FMV, a testament to the success of the initiative for both the talents and the organization. This achievement has laid the foundation for launching the third program. If you’re aiming for a career in IT security and want to thrive in a dynamic, stimulating environment, we welcome your application!

For companies within the defense and security industry in Sweden, the law requires that employees handling sensitive information and technology must be Swedish citizens and undergo a security screening.

THE BRIDGE BETWEEN STUDIES AND CAREER

As a participant in the talent program, you will have a role in a team where you contribute with your skills on a daily basis. You will also have access to a tailored education program where you will deepen your technical knowledge a few days per month combined with education in leadership and personal development. After completing the program, our ambition is for you to move directly into employment with the customer.

As a consultant at Nexer Tech Talent, you will be well taken care of. We are committed to your well-being and listen to your needs and aspirations for development. We believe in the importance of community and organize shared activities such as lectures, afterwork events, and lunch meetings as often as possible.
