Nexer strengthens its position as a tech company of the future by acquiring Telescope Services AB, experts in sourcing international IT engineers. Together with Telescope, Nexer will be able to offer existing and new customers in the Nordic market world-class expertise in digital transformation.

Digitalisation and tech development drive massive demand for skills. Today, the gap between supply and demand for tech skills is greater than ever. The industry organisation TechSverige’s recent report indicates a lack of 70,000 IT/Tech persons in Sweden alone by 2024. If you look at it from an international perspective, the figure is multiplied.

Nexer has been delivering innovative technology solutions to some of the world’s most famous and demanding companies for over 30 years. The increasing need for expertise means that the company is constantly growing and looking for new ways to attract employees. Telescope Services is a Swedish company offering highly educated and experienced IT engineers, mainly in software development, IT security and R&D. Today, the company has recruitment functions in 13 countries, attracting world-class IT engineers with expert skills that are in high demand by Nordic companies.

Together, Nexer and Telescope can offer highly skilled IT engineers the opportunity to move to Sweden and work in exciting assignments for Nordic companies, contributing to innovative, sustainable tech solutions and driving digital transformation forward.

– I am incredibly proud that Telescope will become part of the Nexer group. The need for tech skills feels almost insatiable, and the collaboration with Telescope is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen the Nordic market with world-class engineers. It also provides an opportunity for international engineers to establish themselves in Sweden and all the exciting prospects that entail, says Lars Kry, CEO Nexer Group.

Telescope Services has been recruiting globally for more than ten years with the help of its own international recruitment team managed from the head office in Lund. They are currently represented locally in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
The business idea is based on a successful global recruitment and supply chain concept that solves the client’s need for business-critical skills.

With a well-developed process for recruitment, relocation and onboarding, Telescope finds highly qualified IT engineers and enables them to move to Sweden with a long-term ambition. In this way, part of the large skills gap can be closed while giving talented engineers a future in Sweden.

– We have continuously discussed different future paths and partnerships. Nexer was the company that best matched our requirement specification, and together we see even greater opportunities to develop and drive our business, says Patrick Hiller, CEO Telescope Services.

Telescope Services will continue to be a stand-alone company with its own brand and have the same business concept and operations as before.

The new ownership structure means 55% ownership by Nexer and 45% by Telescope Services’ current owners.
