Volontärbyrån – four information-packed online courses

The challenge

Knowledge wasn’t conveniently accessible

Volontärbyrån (Volunteer Bureau) is a Swedish nonprofit that connects volunteers with organisations. Its mission is to make volunteering accessible and empower civic engagement. The organisation offers highly praised live training sessions on topics such as recruiting volunteers, motivating volunteers, coordinating volunteers, and becoming more inclusive. However, the fixed schedules of these live training sessions limit access for those unavailable on specific dates.

The solution

Engaging e-learning on demand

Based on PowerPoint material, Volontärbyrån decided to digitalize the four live training sessions mentioned. Nexer Maverick created four pedagogical courses using Articulate Rise’s course creation tool and Volontärbyråns LMS (Learning Management System). These courses are based on text, images, knowledge tests, exercises, and films.

Every course contains short film sequences in which representatives share knowledge, tips, and tricks gleaned from years of experience.
Custom graphics: Aligned visuals with Volontärbyrån’s brand profile.

The outcome

Now, volunteer coordinators and others seeking to attract volunteers to their organisations have accessible on-demand training based on Volontärbyrån’s long experience supporting non-profit organisations.
