BACKGROUND
Leksand Municipality in central Sweden manages over 150 governing documents. Keeping them accurate and aligned was time-consuming and prone to error. To improve efficiency, the municipality explored the use of AI to help compare and manage documents more intelligently.
CHALLENGE
The goal was to streamline complex document comparisons while maintaining a user-friendly process. The team had no prior experience with this type of work and needed to validate the AI-generated results carefully. With support from Microsoft and Nexer, they tackled both challenges through hands-on testing and close collaboration.
SOLUTION
Nexer built an AI-powered solution using Azure OpenAI and a vector database. It included a simple web interface and backend components for managing documents. The system, deployed in Leksand’s Azure environment, used retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to deliver relevant, transparent, and compliant responses.
