AI MATURITY ASSESSMENT

Many organisations have launched AI initiatives, seen early wins, and may even have a few solutions running in production. What is often missing is a clear and shared understanding of what is truly working, what is holding progress back, and what needs to change for AI to scale across the organisation.

TEST AI IDEAS BEFORE YOU INVEST

The AI Maturity Assessment provides an objective view of how ready your organisation is to adopt and scale AI across people, processes, and technology. It highlights strengths, gaps, and risks, resulting in a clear maturity score and a practical plan for improvement.

As one of the few Applied AI‑certified companies in Sweden, and through our partnership with AI Sweden, we deliver a trusted and quality‑assured assessment. You receive a data‑driven view of your current maturity, benchmarking against more than 1,500 European organisations, and clear guidance on how to move from experimentation to real‑world implementation.

WHAT IS THE AI MATURITY ASSESSMENT?

The AI Maturity Assessment is a structured, data‑driven diagnostic that evaluates your organisation’s AI maturity across ambition, use cases, enabling capabilities, and execution.

Using an Applied AI‑certified framework, we provide an objective snapshot of your current state, benchmarked against more than 1,500 European organisations. The outcome includes a concrete roadmap to advance your AI maturity, with recommendations covering security, compliance, and governance.

How does it work?

The assessment is conducted over 5–7 weeks.

Week 1: Preparation

We align on objectives, define target groups, select participants, and address data protection and confidentiality considerations. The assessment survey is prepared.

Weeks 2–3: Execution

Selected participants complete a 30‑minute digital questionnaire covering key AI maturity dimensions, including ambition, use cases, enablers, and execution.

Week 4: Analysis

Responses are collected, analysed, and visualised to show current maturity, patterns, and priority improvement areas. We identify security gaps, compliance risks, and organisational or cultural barriers.

Weeks 5–7: Actions

We present findings in a collaborative review with leadership, focusing on opportunities and defining clear, actionable next steps. The aim is to translate insight into tangible business outcomes.

The assessment is based on the Applied AI‑certified framework, a standardised methodology trusted by leading organisations across Europe. Through our partnership with AI Sweden, we ensure reliable and quality‑assured results.

Why do you need it?

Because you cannot scale AI without understanding your foundations.

Without a clear view of your AI readiness, organisations risk:
  • Investing in AI use cases that cannot scale due to missing capabilities or weak foundations
  • Building solutions on insufficient data quality, architecture, or governance
  • Being unprepared for regulatory requirements such as the AI Act, NIS2, or GDPR
  • Introducing AI‑specific security risks, including data leakage, prompt injection, and model manipulation
  • Encountering cultural barriers such as resistance to change or limited data‑driven decision‑making
  • Spending budget on technology while the real gaps lie in people, processes, and ways of working
The AI Maturity Assessment gives you:
  • A clear, data‑driven baseline of your organisation’s AI maturity
  • Benchmarking against more than 1,500 European organisations
  • Visibility into technical, organisational, cultural, and security‑related gaps
  • Quantified financial risk, showing the cost of inaction using the FAIR framework
  • A prioritised roadmap outlining what to address first and why
  • An evaluation of AI Act compliance readiness

You move from assumptions to informed, evidence‑based decisions.

What do you get?

You receive a comprehensive AI maturity score covering people, processes, technology, security, and compliance, providing a complete picture of where your organisation stands. Your results are benchmarked against more than 1,500 organisations across Europe, offering relevant peer comparison.

We deliver a detailed gap analysis highlighting what is working, what is missing, and what is at risk, with clear explanations of why each area matters from a business perspective. The assessment also includes a focused review of security and compliance, covering AI Act readiness, potential NIS2 implications, GDPR exposure, and AI‑specific threats.

To support leadership decision‑making, we quantify financial risk using the FAIR framework, translating technical risks into monetary terms. Cultural insights help uncover barriers such as resistance to AI adoption or gaps in data‑driven ways of working.

You also receive an initial AIBOM (AI Bill of Materials) documenting AI systems, models, datasets, and dependencies, forming an important foundation for future compliance. All findings are consolidated into a prioritised improvement roadmap, clarifying what to address now, what can wait, and the expected business impact.

Finally, we provide an executive‑level summary and facilitate a leadership alignment session to ensure shared understanding and agreement on next steps.
