Out of the 168 applications in Dream Big 2021, four finalists were selected to pitch their ideas to the jury. The winner was announced during Nexer Summit on November 25 and received a check for 1 million SEK. Take part of the award ceremony, winner interview and all the finalist entries below!
With the help of innovative software, Compular can simulate and analyse optimal chemical compositions to achieve the smartest energy storage. This leads to more environmentally friendly batteries with both higher energy density and longer life – which in turn contributes to the transition to a more sustainable society.
Navari’s innovation can improve the living situation for people diagnosed with liver cancer. The technology simplifies navigation during peephole surgeries and increases the precision in removing cancerous tumors. With the help of AR projection, the surgeon sees a live updated image in real time and thus gets an exact overview of how the tumor is located, how big it is and what it looks like.
Swiftly is a digital platform that uses machine learning to automate the hiring process for companies, recruiters and job seekers. Their goal is to connect recruiters and job seekers in a neutral, self-sufficient ecosystem without revealing any personal information prior to the interview. Swiftly’s AI handles the entire process up until the interview.
Thermaiscan’s innovation enables early detection of breast cancer with the help of AI, thermal imaging technology and a smartphone. The product is perfect for mini clinics, primary care and health care professionals who visit patients at home, or in rural areas. In addition to being a portable solution, a non-specialist can perform the examination by having the AI analyse the result.

Malin wears many metaphorical hats and has thrown them all into the ring of venture creation, start-up investments, innovation, and equality. In 2021 she was a finalist for IT-woman of the year in Sweden – and won the title of “Start-up ecosystem supporter of the year” at the Global Start-up Awards.
