Aquabel Piscicultura is an agribusiness company founded in 1994, and it has become the largest Brazilian producer of tilapia fingerlings and juveniles. In 2016, the company became part of the German conglomerate specializing in animal protein genetic improvement, EW Group, and changed its name to AquaGenetics of Brazil Ltda.
A LARGER STRUCTURE REQUIRES MORE POWER TO MAKE DECISIONS
This new stage of the business required the company to migrate to a robust ERP system that would foster a strategically data-driven decision-making process. Thus, a search for a system that could fulfill this need began.

We added some customizations that made managing our data even easier. Since it involves a living end product (fish), it was also important for us to have that flexibility.”

One of AquaGenetics’ most satisfying points with Dynamics 365 was the quick implementation process. Within just two months, the solution had been fully adopted by the company. This meant significant results for the company in a short period:

- Reduced accounting closing time from 20 days to 5 days – a result achieved in just 4 months

Regarding the benefits, Gandra affirms: “After the implementation, we gained more control over the production processes, better management of production costs, and infinite possibilities for using Microsoft tools, including Power BI, Power Automate, Office 365, and more.”
The result was so positive that the adopted technology is already being implemented in other companies within the group. In addition to envisioning new innovation alternatives due to the ease of integration with other platforms, they can create low-code applications integrated with corporate data and work with data analytics through the Power Platform, as well as structure telemetry using Azure platform services.
