Innovation in Agribusiness with the Digital Farm Concept<\/h2>\n

MINASUL<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 the\u00a0Varginha Region Coffee Growers\u2019 Cooperative \u2014 with over\u00a0sixty years of history<\/strong>\u00a0, took an important step towards modernization by implementing the\u00a0Digital Farm<\/strong>\u00a0concept . This movement includes actions linked to\u00a0precision agriculture<\/strong>\u00a0and aims to transform not only management, but also the way of producing and marketing in the coffee sector.


The implementation of the new model began in\u00a02018<\/strong>\u00a0with the start-up of\u00a0Microsoft Dynamics AX<\/strong>\u00a0, one of the most robust ERPs on the market, implemented by\u00a0Nexer Enterprise Applications<\/strong>\u00a0, one of the main Microsoft partners in Latin America for business management solutions. This initiative reinforces the cooperative\u2019s commitment to efficiency, security and technological innovation.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Challenge: odernize Management and Integrate Processes in Real Time<\/h2>\n

MINASUL needed to overcome the challenge of integrating and modernizing all of its operations, from the financial, accounting and tax areas to the production and member service sectors. The goal was to unify information, centralizing data in a reliable, accessible and secure system that would allow real-time management.

This project aimed not only to improve service to members, but also to transform the cooperative into an\u00a0intelligence and command center<\/strong>\u00a0, with the capacity to generate strategic analyses and support decision-making. In addition, there was a need to prepare the technological infrastructure to support future innovations brought by the\u00a0Digital Farm<\/strong>\u00a0, such as\u00a0telemetry<\/strong>\u00a0,\u00a0traceability<\/strong>,\u00a0image processing<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0remote sensing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Solution: Implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX with Nexer EA Expertise<\/h2>\n

The project began at the cooperative’s facilities in Varginha, Minas Gerais<\/strong>, and was planned to be expanded to include members’ farms<\/strong> later . The first phase focused on integrating the cooperative’s main records<\/strong>, completed in 2017, and was followed by intensified work to deliver the second phase<\/strong>, scheduled for January 2018, involving the administrative areas<\/strong>, Microsoft Dynamics AX.

It was chosen because of its ability to act as a leading global ERP<\/strong>, offering support for all other Digital Farm tools and processes. Nexer was responsible for customizing the solution<\/strong>, ensuring that the system would meet not only the current demands, but also the future needs of the cooperative. MINASUL’s Director of New Business, Luis Henrique Albinati<\/strong>, highlighted that the ERP functions as a true \u00a0
command center<\/strong>, bringing together data from the production sector, invoices from the accounting department, sales statistics, income statements, business plans and customer service information. All this data is now centralized in a single system, with real-time access<\/strong> and protected by encryption, authentication<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0automatic backups<\/strong>.

Results: Efficiency, Security and Consolidation of the Digital Farm Model<\/h2>\n

The new system has enabled the cooperative to optimize processes and eliminate waste, while providing a solid technological basis for the development of\u00a0new agricultural practices<\/strong>\u00a0, aligned with the most modern trends in\u00a0agribusiness<\/strong>\u00a0. The\u00a0Digital Farm<\/strong>\u00a0has become not just a concept, but an effective practice in coffee farming, driving the ongoing search for efficiency and sustainability.

In addition to the administrative and registration areas, the project also foresees the integration of the\u00a0retail<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0coffee management<\/strong>\u00a0sectors , completing all stages of an initiative that prioritizes innovation, without giving up strict security and reliability criteria.

MINASUL, with the support of Nexer, demonstrates how it is possible to unite tradition and technology, positioning itself as a reference in the use of state-of-the-art management solutions to strengthen Brazilian agribusiness.<\/p>\n \n\n
