THE FUTURE OF DIGITAL AS THE ENGINE OF INNOVATION

The most fast-moving trends of our time are all of digital nature. Smarter AI, more advanced automation, cheaper sensors, and amazing animations. The consequences of the digital shifts are omnipresent and extend far beyond the digital arena. They shape consumers’ desires, billion-dollar investments, and even our perception of what constitutes reality and life. Working future-driven with innovation means taking advantage of the possibilities that present themselves in the wake of digital trends. Katarina will present how trends are the powerful engine of the innovations of tomorrow.

Katarina Stetler works as a consultant and future strategist at Kairos Future. She has previously worked as an innovation strategist and product developer in the automotive industry. Katarina has a PhD in Innovation Management from KTH and a Master in Engineering and is a highly regarded speaker within her field.

WE NEED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE FUTURE!

With the exponential development of technology, we need to take responsibility for the future. Radically new solutions based on digital tech will be created, and we need to ask ourselves, What kind of world do I want to create? How can we use new solutions to save the planet? If not, the risk is overwhelming that we will use the quote from Talking Heads song Once in a lifetime, “How did I get here?”. We have a unique opportunity to use the technology for something good and not only to get rich.

Erik Kruse, evangelist at Ericsson, responsible for building an IoT ecosystem with special focus on cutting edge technology companies. Responsible for partner strategy. Evangelising on how IoT, Cloud and artificial intelligence affect industrial structures, business models and company strategies. Member of Combient Group, AI Advisory Board for EU. Teaches at Imperial College on digital transformation.

DEMYSTIFYING THE MAC OS ATTACK CHAIN

What actually happens when you click on a malicious link or open that attachment? What about the debate that macOS is more secure than, for example, Windows? David will in his presentation, go through a macOS Attack Chain by doing a live hacking session showing Userland rootkits, techniques for Userland phishing, obtaining root access, bypassing password manager and much more.

David Jacoby is Deputy Director for the European Global Research and Analysis Team for Kaspersky Lab. He fights cybercrime and is an expert in product and security audits, penetration tests, security research to improve awareness of the current and future threats and vulnerabilities to which both consumers and large enterprises are exposed. David is also a technical advisor in several books and for the continuation of the Millennium books written by David Lagercrantz. He’s also seen in the news as a cyber security expert and TV programs such as Hackad_, and Stoppa Tjuven.

THE FUTURE IS INTELLIGENT, DISTRIBUTED, GLOcAL AND SUSTAINABLE

Let’s look at the technologies that most likely will shape our future and make assumptions about how they could affect us. Judith will present four future scenarios; where we stand today and what’s good to think about. The presentation covers the underlying technical aspects and how each trend affects people, companies, and society at large.
