Security is often treated in the same way that we don’t like to do development, like waterfall. We simply start thinking about security in the beginning or just at the end of the development cycle. It becomes the last gateway and/or check. That is of course not the best way to handle security. How then, can we incorporate security thinking into our daily work together with our customers? And what tools can we use to make it easier?
Cecilia Wirén, Coding Security Advocate from Active Solution, shares her thoughts on how we can find a way to add a security mindset into the development life cycle.
Cecilia Wirén is a Coding Security Advocate from Active Solution. She has been selected as Microsoft MVP for several years and is frequently speaking at Conferences and for User Groups. You will often find her organizing Swenug events in Stockholm. As a senior developer, she realizes that the baseline for the security knowledge amongst the common developer is pretty low and decided that she needs to do something about it. When she’s not speaking about security she loves to play board games or just hang out with her family.
