We continue to grow our front-end group at Nexer, where UX is a focus area. Through customer projects both in-house and on assignment, you get the opportunity to grow further in your role as a UX developer. If when asked the question "what would you take to a desert island?" would respond "another human being!" we think you might fit in with us.
What does the role look like?
We are looking for consultants who can both go out into the field and help our customers on-site and work internally with projects and then take responsibility for either parts or whole design work. The assignments can be very varied in terms of both content and length, so you need to be curious about people and processes and find it fun to build relationships and quickly find a place in new contexts. Our customers have a varying degree of UX maturity, so you need to be able to both fit into an already developed workflow and help customers understand good design and help develop their processes. The position is centered in Gothenburg.
You are probably already working as a consultant or can imagine doing so. Consulting means the benefits of changing jobs often with new environments, people and the energy it provides, but with the context and the security that comes from having a continuous, permanent job.
In the backpack, you have several years of work as a UX designer, supported by either a solid education in the field or a long experience. You like to move in the borderland between people and technology and find the digital and media transformation exciting. We hope that in previous employments you have gained experience in:
•… effectively create wireframes, mockups and prototypes to communicate your or your team's ideas.
•… use tests, interviews or other data to verify or challenge a design.
•… you have a good hand with the processes around idea work and are used to taking a facilitating and advisory role to help customers or product owners understand usability.
•… minimum five years working experience as a UX designer or graphical designer.
You like people and have a basic humanistic view. Your work is always based on other people's needs, opportunities and limitations. You see learning new methods, processes or tools as a natural and above all fun part of the work. Besides, we believe that you like to take personal responsibility for quality and execution in your work and have a professional appearance.
It is also a bonus if:
• You have a developed sense of color and shape or experience of UI work.
• You are interested in theory and methodology and can translate what you read and discuss into practical application within the business.
• You have a special interest or specific experience in related areas, eg: service design, programming, game design, or product development.
• You have experience in leadership at a team level or agile development methodology.
Within Nexer, there is a pronounced challenge that permeates all assignments and the company as a whole: if there is a smarter solution, we will find it. An endeavor that challenges us every day and allows us to think outside the given framework and together with our customers make the brave decisions required to create development.
We offer problem-solving. Which in practice can mean everything from developing a new business system, designing a webshop, managing a global business system, developing cloud-based AI services or something else where our broad and cutting-edge expertise in technology comes into its own. Our assignments often have an international character, therefore fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing is a natural part of the work.
You are very welcome to send in your registration of interest below. Unfortunately, we can not handle applications sent via email, but if you have questions you are very welcome to contact responsible recruiter Kristoffer Morsing at firstname.lastname@example.org
